After going Reserve Puppy Dog in Futurity at the National, Buck has finished his Championship at 13 months old.

His brother Drakken, Davisdane's Ducktor Drakken I Presume, has 7 points to date.

The OFA Champion of Health program began in 2006 to award a dog who has significant accomplishments in the ring at the national level, field, as a working dog or as a producer and has the full complement of appropriate health screenings.  OFA recognizes the Champion of Health with an engraved medallion and a $100 donation to the Great Dane Club of America’s Donor Advised Fund at the AKC Canine Health Foundation.

OFA has named CH Davisdane’s Dare to be a Duck, CD, BN, RN, CGCA, ROM, HOF the Great Dane Champion of Health for 2014.  Daffy’s accomplishments are many.  She was the first mantle to finish her championship entirely from the Bred By Exhibitor class, the first recorded ROM mantle, and the first mantle to enter the GDCA Hall of Fame as a producer.

Daffy produced seven Champions,  six who have their CHIC certificates.  Her daughter, CH Davisdane LongVue Abigail, was Best of Winners at the 2010 National, where another daughter, CH Davisdane’s Rubber Ducky You’re the One, BN, RN, CGCA, was Best Puppy in the Futurity.  Daffy earned her CD at the age of 9-1/2 with a second place in all-breed competition, and her CGCA at almost 10 years of age.

Duckens wins the Stud Dog class at the National!

Congratulations to NEW CHAMPION Davisdane's El Jefe, Hugo, owned by Maria and Walt Perkins and myself.  Hugo is Daffy's seventh champion and finished completely owner handled.   Not only that, but Hugo and Walt are working in obedience and earned Hugo's Rally Novice title, with an all breed first place and an all breed fourth place.

Congratulations to Sophie, Davisdane's Disco Duck, owned by Victoria Tchetchet, on achieving 3 majors towards her championship.  She is almost there and will be our first natural eared champion!

Lisa, Davisdane's Lucky to be Ducky, CD, RA, CD, can now add BN (Beginner Novice) and CGCA (Advanced Canine Good Citizen) to her name.  Lisa earned her BN in three straight trials will one all-breed first place and two all-breed second places.

Sami, CH Davisdane's Rubber Ducky You're the One, BN, RN, CGC has also earned her CGCA title.

Isis, GCH Davisdane Acadia Dream Girl, won an Award of Merit at the prestigious Westminister Kennel Club, Breeder/Owner Handled by me.  Congratulations to owner Sharon Randall.

Daffy, CH Davisdane's Dare to be a Duck, CD, RN, BN, CGC, at the age of 9-1/2, has earned her Advanced CGC title, AKC Community Canine, making her CGC a CGCA.

Hugo, Davisdane’s El Jefe, another of the Daffy X Wally kids, has started his show career with a bang!  In a short period of time, he has earned 11 points owner-handled, including a 4-pt major.

We are very pleased to announce that Daffy, CH Davisdane's Dare to be a Duck, RN,BN, CGC, ROM earned her Beginner Novice title at the Great Dane Club of New England's first All Breed Obedience and Rally Trial.  Daffy is about to turn nine years old.

 

Her daughter, CH Davisdane's Rubber Ducky You're the One, RN, CGC, earned her first leg towards her Beginner Novice title and was first place Great Dane, beating her mother by one point.

We were really pleased to see three eight-year-old littermates competing in Obedience and Rally.  Congratulations to Daffy on her second Beginner Novice leg and to her brother Ace on his first Rally Novice leg.  Another littermate, Drake, Davisdane's Drake Puddleduck, CD, RE, competed in Open Obedience.  A great showing for our veterans!

Congratulations to Sharon and Isis on their owner-handled BOB win in Long Island. She went on to take an Owner-Handler Working Group 4.   Isis now needs only a major to complete her Grand Championship.

Lisa, Davisdane's Lucky to be Ducky, CD, RA, has been bred by frozen semen to CH Dansk Star Blazer.  We are waiting for ultrasound confirmation. Puppies would be due in June.

I am pleased to announce that Abbey, GCH Davisdane-LongVue Abigail and Duckens, GCH Davisdane's Dansk Introduckshun, have both received their CHIC certificates.

That means that they have health clearances in cardio, hips, CERF (eyes) and thyroid. Duckens also has a brand new clearance not required for a CHIC, which is for degenerative myelopathy. A huge thank you to their owners, Tricia Miles and Carole Walcher, for sharing my passion of breeding healthy dogs.

Davisdane's Dancing Duckling, owned by Carl Hoeping, now has both her majors.

Sami Wins Best of Opposite at the Great Dane Club of Oxford Specialty over 10 specials.

Congratulations to Davisdane's Dancing Duckling, littermate to CH Davisdane's Rubber Ducky You're the One, and her owner Carl Hoeping, on her major win on December 4th at Ingham County Kennel Club under Paula Nykiel.

Sami took a point at Northwest Connecticut under John Anderson and 2 more (and Best of Winners) under Michele Billings at Albany Kennel Club.  Then, on November 11th, Sami finished her Championship at Souhegan Kennel Club under Jeffrey Langevin, going  Best of Winners, Best of Opposite over 3 Specials, and Bred By Exhibitor Working Group 1.

Her first time out as a Special, Sami was Best of Opposite over 3 Champion Bitches at Worcester County Kennel Club under Barbara Schwartz.

Our adorable puppy Moxie, Davisdane’s Distinctively Different, out of Lisa and Duckens and owned by Christine and Sabrina Holley-Williams, was Best of Breed at Illinois Capital Kennel Club on her way to the National.  She also made us proud at the GDCA National Specialty, going second in a class of five.

Sami has picked up 3 more points her from wins at Cape Cod Kennel Club, South Shore Kennel Club, and Northwestern Connecticut Kennel Club, as well as earning her Rally Novice title.  She now needs 3 points to finish!

 

 

Daffy, CH Davisdane’s Dare To Be A Duck, RN, CGC,  earned a leg towards her Beginner Novice obedience title at the Great Dane Club of New England Spring Specialty.  Ducky, CH Davisdane’s Definitely a Duckling, RN, CGC,  won the 8+ Veterans class.

Drake got his CD at the age of 7 in three straight trials with a first place and a second place in Springfield MA.  Congratulations to Drake and his extraordinary trainer/owner Leslie Pirtle!

Abbey completed her Grand Championship on August 28th in style with a Best of Breed win and she’s now GCH Davisdane LongVue Abigail.

Isis is now American/Canadian Champion Davisdane Acadia Dream Girl Isis, completing her Canadian Championship in two weekends up north.

 

 

Now it’s CH Davisdane Acadia Dream Girl Isis. Isis finished her Championship on July 9th, the third in the Daffy/Wally litter to finish.  She now has points towards her Grand Championship.  Isis is also halfway to her Canadian Championship in just one weekend of showing.

Lisa/Duckens pup Moxie, Davisdane’s Distinctively Different, our natural eared puppy, was Best in Specialty Match at the Northern New Jersey Great Dane Club match on July 24th at 15 weeks old!  Congratulations to Moxie and her owners Christine and Sabrina Holley-Williams.

Congratulations to Sami, Davisdane’s Rubber Ducky You’re the One,  marching towards her championship, winning her majors at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club and the Great Dane Club of Raritan Valley, both in April.  She was also Best of Winners at Providence County Kennel Club for another point, and Best of Winners in Springfield on August 25th.  Sami was Best of Breed/Group 3 from the classes at Central Maine Kennel Club on September 2.

Congratulations to Twist on taking 5 more minor points over the weekend.  Twist and Isis are now in a race to the finish and tied with 11 points.  Both need a major and a single to finish!

 

 

Congratulations to Sami on her 3-point major under Judy Harrington.  Sami has been home all winter and this was her first time back in the ring.  What a great start!

 

 

Congratulations to Isis on her BOB (over 7 specials) from the classes for a 4 point major at Trap Falls Kennel Club.  Isis now needs a major and a single to finish.

Abbey, now CH Davisdane LongVue Abigail was Winners Bitch under Bob Thomas and Best of Winners under Eric Ringle.  Congratulations to Tricia Miles and handlers Chuck and Linda Whitney on this once in a lifetime win and a finish at the National!


Sami, Davisdane’s Rubber Ducky You’re the One, breeder/owner handled, was Best Puppy in the Futurity under Joel Rosenblatt, another once in a lifetime win!


Isis, Davisdane Acadia Dream Girl Isis, breeder/co-owner handled, won a very competitive Open Mantle class and made the cut in winners.


Twist, Davisdane-TwinOak’s Twist N Time Is Here V Mavro, placed forth in a very large competitive American Bred class, presented beautifully by Jeff Lawrence.


Hugo, Davisdane’s El Jefe, breeder/co-owner handled, made the final cut in a large Futurity class and was third in 6-9 Harlequin Puppy class.


Abbey and Sami were judged behind their sire, CH TwinOak’s Chief of Staff, CD, RN, as he won the Stud Dog class under Nancy Lerch.


What a wonderful National – all our dogs won consistently and under different judges!

Drake has received his Rally Novice, Advanced, and Excellent titles in short order in the span of two months with several all breed placements along the way and a High in Rally Advanced at the Great Dane Club of New England Spring Specialty.
